Coldwell and Banker founded their company with a brokers-only policy, preventing associates and owners from taking any personal interest in real estate and focusing only on their clients. The book Preserving the Trust: The Coldwell Banker Story states, "It perfectly complemented the personal integrity, ethics, and standards of the people in the firm. The policy and the people – they were the keys to the company’s early success." As Coldwell Banker Commercial (CBC^SM) associates join in the momentous celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the brand, it is with a deep appreciation of how this rich history simultaneously proves the success of traditional values while providing momentum to move forward in new directions.
